Still sucks not to have any (well any that I know of) FJ riders in South Africa cos I dont have anybody to really ride with other than my friends who owns an R4 and the other who owns a CB400

Maybe that is why there is no FJ rally in South Africa.

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

My tank even tells me to use unleaded (Pb=lead)

PS you can mix unleaded and LRP ok

It really is true that the FJ works best on unleaded but after having a good conversation with the previous owner I found out quite a bit. The bike was mainly used as a sports bike and actually only has 4600km on the clock and not 46000 as i previously thought. the bike had some work done to compression and various other things but most of the parts are still stock. It was in a minor accident and had the forks replaced and it would explain why the side scoop fenders are missing other than that the owner decided to upgrade and to cut a long story short he said unleaded would be okay  but might burn the connection with the exhaust or something but the bike performed better on the LRP so yeah thanks for all the help. I now have a friend with an early model zzr 1100 (the 16 valve one) to ride with now. although they arent very good tourers the oke modified the front forks and extended them 100mm which makes the ride so much more enjoyable than normal, but i still prefer the FJ
