[There was considerable research done a few years ago by members here about which is the best air filter. The conclusion came to a foam oiled filter - and the best one of these for filtering out the smallest particles was the UNI dual pods. Avoid paper element filters as they tend to let bricks through
Cheers

Minor correction, Harvey.....  The paper element is the best for filtration, but it is the most restrictive, the K&N-style (gauze element) are the ones that let the bricks thru.

Correction noted mate! Either way oiled foam is the best way to go - agreed?

Thanks Rich

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

James,
I have your order boxed and it will be headed your way today. I have been at work (day job) for the last four days, sorry I wasn't able to respond to your questions.

You can use any light oil on the filters. You inquired about sending oil, but due to shipping regulations no aerosol can can be shipped internationally.

I wash all of my filters with hot water and dish soap. As far as the cleaning & oil interval, it depends on how much you ride. I clean my bike filters once a year, but we only put about 3000 miles a year on.

Thank for the order,

Thats all good Randy, no hassles...
and thanks for the info as well - it all helps

I am about to fly interstate for work (up at 4am here!) and wont be back on the ground at home (and able to touch the bike) until about next Friday so with any luck I will have a bunch of new toys to put on the bike!
(also waiting on Vibranators and a new custom seat!)

Stay rubber side down.

Tengu

Yeah thanks for the condolences about lack of shed.

I really need to get a shed as a mate just offered me his R1 track bike!

I cant wait to get back and put on all the new little toys.... most should arrive this week or next
