Thank you for all the prayers and good wishes.  :hi:

All day Tuesday and yesterday, they but a drain in to get rid of the fluid built up in my mom's lungs. My sister was told by the doctors that they removed 9 liters of fluid.

The doctors removed the breathing tube this morning. My mom is breathing well on her own at the moment and is in good spirits. If all goes well in the next 24 hours, I think she will be over the hump and on the road to recovery.

That is good to hear Fred, glad you made it safe and that she is doing better on her own.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Never regret your choices in life ! There is no way to go back to do it again and compare. Make the most and do your best with every decision you make

My mom is doing extremely well. She has been moved out of ICU and into a regular room. She even requested that all three of us boys come up to see her. It has been 22 years since all three of us have been home at the same.

I have found a not so pleasant side effect of the 1300cc engine on my ride to South Carolina..... I put a brand new Cont-Motion tire on about a week before the Colorado Rally. Upon my arrival to South Carolina, a small sliver of cord was showing. There were zero Sport Touring tires available here in Beaufort. I had to drive 45 miles to Savannah, Georgia to get a new set of Conti-Motions.

I am hitting the road at 6am tomorrow morning and heading back to Wichita.

And I thought the 2 boards under the centerstand looked precarious.  Silly me.

Glad to read that your mom is doing better.

Just got out of hospital myself, it hurts to read about health and hardship for another man's mother as all us son's dread the day when our aging mother's takes a turn for the worst, was very pleased Fred as I read on how things are turning for the better for your mom, God speed and bless the health of all our mother's who are still fighting the good fight.

I should have posted this way back before Christmas. My mom is still doing well. She is on oxygen most of the time but is able to still be active. This photo was November 10th. Mom and my step dad going to the Marine Corps Birthday Dinner. My step dad is a retired Gunnery Sergeant.
