I recommend the All Balls kit.  It comes with replacement dust seal and everything.

I just cut my old bearings out with a Dremel.  Hit it at an angle and didn't even as much as scratch the frame.

I also installed a zerk fitting so I never-ever have to take the stupid thing apart again.

nipple sounds better to me, like " I am going to play with the nipple on my "--------" (insert appropriate word, bike, girlfriend etc)"

Lower seal is a HONDA '79 GL1000 seal 53214-371-010

Was wondering if there was an "aftermarket" part number (i.e. not Honda, Yamaha) for the seal.

The bearing numbers above could be had just about anywhere (as Candieandy said).

Garth, can't find a part no, but the dimensions are ID 31, OD 56, W 4......... I'm guessing these are all in mm.......found on this site:

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.
