Mark, did you get my PM from yesterday?

Yes, PM received, I will knock off the dirt before taking measurements. It will be returned cleaner than it arrived, just good customer service. :drinks:

Cool! I won't have to be tempted to make a bunch at my shop. Getting caught would be bad. But I also know a few shops that we work with that will also make short run parts. I will share/post the plans with the club so anyone can find the best price/machinist and have a stiff front end...er....set of forks.
A Viagra kind of Kookalooooo....

I have one from Randy, he installed it (while I was on the bike and heading out for a WCFJR ride) himself, priceless...... Thanks Randy...

Good evening again,

Randy also installed my fork brace, which I opted for after the long term evaluation & impressive performance of the Fork Valves. After having doubted the need (not to mention the claims of an improved ride) for the the Fork Valves I was much less hesitant to accept Randy's advice and opinions.

However, the outside top of the fork sliders on my 1991 FJ 1200 happened to be slightly out of round which caused the forks to bind up when the brace was tightened. I am quite certain that I overheard Randy mumble "just like the bike's owner, rather eccentric". Apart from such comments which I deeply represent....  I mean to say resent....

Anyway Randy had a solution....  which was to disassemble the fork, strip the clear coat and then hand file (!) the high spots until the fork brace was a perfect fit.I do admit to being a bit worried about filing on aluminum, especially something as valuable as fork sliders. But I need not have been concerned as Randy not only has the knowledge but also the ability to do things properly.

And yes, the Brace does work as advertised, which is quite well.

Regards,

Mike Ramos.
