The thing I come away with mostly is that he doesn't just snap up collections of things out of our reach that he can afford to park in a museum. He has a full blown facility that employs people I am sure are rare craftsmen in these times, giving them a good living (I imagine) and maintaining time honored skills. What is road worthy eventually gets back out on the road. And Leno looks like he'd go for a ride anytime he could get away.

Near where I live in Ontario is an area called Muskoka. Beautiful cottage country and always a destination to ride through. Part of its draw is the exclusive lodges and homes of the rich and famous, since the 1920's.
There is an annual wooden boat show which could be written off as a circle jerk for the rich folk, but when you drive around, you see the builders names on boat works and street signs scattered around the lakes. These people again have unique restoration skills that would be lost and the boats would deteriorate if the boat owners were budget conscious DIY'ers. And we get the pleasure of seeing these beautiful creations.

Back to motorcycles, our FJs are old enough thank you but when someone goes on about how old a bike is, I ask if it has any working brass or copper parts. No? Then it's not "old", just outdated :)
Then I suggest they go to the Paris, Ontario show to support the vintage restorers.
If someone wants to see any images I refer to in posts, first check my gallery here. If no bueno, send me a PM. More than glad to share.
