I've found new discs for my 85 FJ11
Do I have to modify anything. They are solid, not vented like the originals. Thanks

If the rotors are a direct replacement for the OEM 16 inch front wheel, The rotors should be 280mm dia. they should bolt right up and work without any issues.

Thankyou for the reply. Very kind. But the 'middle bit' seems not to be there if you know what I mean. they appear to have the holes in the right places. But you know...they look hollow. You never know with sellers whether they actually know what they are talking about. He wants 80 for 3 delivered. Ta v much.

The original rotors were vented, this allowed air to pass between the two braking surfaces inside the rotor. Modern rotors for bikes are all solid (with holes drilled through the braking surface) now as far as I know. They need to have the same bolt pattern, same diameter, same offset and be of good quality. My original rotors were vented, now they look like this.

The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
