...Stopped at Nukeum's and saw this FJ. Modified like many on this blog...

Monkey,
Very nice ride, that.

This thread is proof that you should NEVER attempt to use your FJ as a get-away vehicle. Every Bastard Here (EBH) will finger you!

I should know better, I went to one of two very popular motorcycle stops in the general Los Angeles area. Cash did the exact thing I would have done, take pictures and hunted the FJ owner down. Its all good, the FJ community is like an extended family, even all the JABH.

Congrats on the "new" FJ, Mark.
I have been wondering how the progress was going.
Glad to see you are moving in the right direction and not fading away.

My shakedown run last Sunday revived my love for two wheels. Just after I parked at Newcomb's Ranch a guy on a CBR1000RR pulled up and parked next to me. I think he was a little surprised when he saw what I was riding. He commented on my keeping a good pace through the twisties. Now I wonder if that was Cash himself? I guess I will have to make a ride with the guy, he can't keep his helmet on the entire time like Stig can he?

Congrats on the FJ aquisition Mark!  :good2:
I do think you should leave the color "As-Is"
I love that color scheme (it's my 2nd favorite, behind the red/silver '84), and think it's one of the rarer ones out there.
You guys are making me jealous! I wanna ride!

X2 for stock colors - and the ride!  Although I think a red and white with blacked out rims, forks, frame, swingarm etc would be good

But "Battle Axe" will have to stay murdered out!

I`m glad you got a new ride Mark! Silver and red would definitely be awesome! So would leaving it the way it is and ridin that bitch! It looks great the way it is!

Monkey, again congrats on the 89. I think you should keep the stock color. The 89 and 86 are different bikes, keep them different. You still have the 86. I like what Derek did but I see that as a tribute to his 86 RIP. It's like having two suites that are the same. Unless you have an FJ for each day of the week. Maybe a poll? Might be interesting to see the results.

Beauiful day on the crest. Stopped at Nukeum's and saw this FJ. Modified like many on this blog. Didn't get to say hello then.... So, hey Dude nice unit see u next time.

My second choice of color for the FJ's still better than those blue units with twinkle toes stripe! And how can anyone say the Silky Whites are not just plain gorgeous! But it's the Red and White that carry the FJ Flag!!!!! Im liking your new Lady Mark but please come back from the dark side!  :sarcastic:

The Stormy Blue is such a nice looking color in the sunlight. I am torn between keeping the color stock and being a dual personality Monkey or doing a "Derick" on it and making it Silver and Red. However, the '86 will be rebuilt and returned to Kookaloo condition, it is my first FJ love and has a special place in heart.

I was trying to find an '89 in the theft deterrent Silver and White so I would not betray my Red Power Ranger motif.... But this one fit the bill and has me thinking on the dark side. Red Power Ranger during the day.... Stealth Monkey at night....
