Beauiful day on the crest. Stopped at Nukeum's and saw this FJ. Modified like many on this blog. Didn't get to say hello then.... So, hey Dude nice unit see u next time.

Let me attempt to answer all the posts in order.

1. Cash, it's my new to me FJ on it's first shakedown run. Sorry we missed each other at Newcomb's ranch. Let's ride dude....

2. Pat, you can only see the periwinkle when the tire gets changed.

4. Capn Ron, no doubt...

5. Frank, yes, no oil slick where I park, or on the rear wheel. The '86 (Ambulance) has a spare frame waiting for an upper shock mount mod and fresh powder coat. Then some TLC on the engine and case (2nd gear fix) etc... Then I have to decide if am going to switch the mods back over or find new ones and keep the '89 as it is now. It runs quire well and the short run up and down the Crest was over due therapy.

5. Derek, I am torn between keeping the paint stock or doing a "Derek" on it in Silver and Red. The Stormy Blue is such good looking color in the sun light. Maybe I will come up with a color scheme that keeps some of the Blue. Its kind of like having two mistresses, one is a fiery red head and the other a sultry brunet.

I think that covers it....

Edit for Fred, I am sure I look like I stole the bike with my current riding gear, Red and White power ranger gear on a nearly black bike.....

Alright I'm just giving you crap ..... the new bike looks great and still an Fj . I too have been tempted by the dark side with the improvements of fuel pump, dog bones, no anti-dive,better shift forks and slick paint .

That said : If you let the 86 sit and die , you will be beaten with a wet noodle .

that's a relief to hear ... I know how projects get stalled.
