Scott, that won't work. the spring retainers will not align properly that holds the can to the connecting pipe.....



But you could drill out the rear rivets and spin the can.... The solution still works... You were just missing some of the design information, but you nailed it...

Little known fact. All the dumb hillbillies migrated north toward the Michigan auto plants. Many of them ran out of ambition or got lost, which is where buckeyes come from.

Oddly enough, even they look down on Pacific North Westerners.

^^ I did exactly that to the Kroaker can on my old '92 (now Paul's)
Drilled out the 2 rivets on the name plate, removed the plate, replaced the rivets (no holes) then spun the canister around so that the rivets face the swing arm....a nice clean muffler can with no Kerker advertising.

I like Randy's header system but I think the 18" long muffler looks too long on the FJ.
A 14" can would look better. They are available from Hindle. Add some scrubable stainless steel packing and you would never have to worry about drilling out rivets to repack the can.
