Since winter is here (36ºF), I think I may start trying some winter mods.  I still have a YZF600 front end that  needs to go on.  LED license plate light, LED aux stop light, some LED running lights, coil relays, slotted cam gears and maybe a 1314 kit.  We'll see how much progress I can make getting the garage clear enough to start dismantling the FJ.  More space means more mods!

Mark, you're the max on those double entendres. Are you trying to out ace K Man?? It's filth, but we love it.
Oh - right - mods - mine are almost finished. Bled those blue spot stoppers today. So that's what a front lever should feel like - like there's actually some bite there.

It's too friggin' cold to go out into the garage and do any work on the bikes.  Even with a decent heater it can't do enough.  Woke up to 12f degrees this morning.

Andy, you now have two finger brakes.  Be damn careful until you get use to them.   :wacko3:

Anyone heard from Klavdy?  Last I heard he was struck by lightning, and $20K lighter.

Chime in if you know.

Live hardy, or go home.

Marsh White

Yes, he's fine!  He's back home in AUS from PNG for another week...then he's back in PNG working.

The FJ forest. Can you find all the parts?

I'll spray clear on Friday unless Christmas gets in the way.

Looks good!  What's up with the "rust" color under the blue?  Is that some kind of primer?  PS: I know nothing about painting...

Well, I guess losing a lot of my parts when the trailer was stolen has dialed back my plans a bit ...

I did get a fairly good deal on a '90 that has been sitting for a few years in a shop up in Chicago.  Plan will be to put the stock engine in the streetbike to get it back on the road.  The 1314 and ported head may have to wait a bit.

Then transplant the dragrace swingarm and cut forks to the '90 and wait for the dragbike engine parts to start showing up in the post around the end of January.  Luckily I the bottom end for that engine was still here in NM.

The rest of my time will be spent engraving "unique serial numbers" on everything I own to make recovering them MUCH EASIER in the future if need be... :diablo:

PPG DP74 epoxy primer. Some of the pieces have grey/white high build primer on them under the red. When all the block-sanding was done, I reached for the grey DP 50 grey, and, DOH, there was 1/4 cup in the bottom.  BUT, the 74 was leftover from the 54 Ford and my time window was closing, soo....

Pics later. Can't wait to button it up. Summer is right around the corner.

I laid the clear on tonite before the next snowstorm so the wifes Mustang can be put back in.  The shit I have to put up with.

Couple more...

I put my Powell Deathangel on the table for pure eyecandy. (skateboard for you, umm, older guys)

Yamifj1200

Hell, thats a new skate board compared to the old Logan earth ski I have used many times to move bike engines around..
