Fred,
That looks like an aluminum sprocket -is it? If so, be aware that the FJ has eaten many-an-aluminum-sprocket in it's day. I've seen more than one picture of an aluminum sprocket with NO teeth left, just a semi-smooth outer disk edge.
If not, and it's steel, then let this be a warning to those that consider the aluminum option, eventually conventional wisdom suggests that the FJ
will eat it.
Cheers,
Dan
Edit, I just took a closer look at the listing, and it did call it out as steel. Reading
IS fundamental....
Same sprocket I've got. Still have it and the new chain sitting in the drawer to fit sometime.

Pardon, don't mean to but in. The washers I used for my GSXR conversion were off the shelf Ace Hardward washers. Out of memory 20mm or 3/4" diameter washers (I might be wrong there) . As a note in the final adjustment left or right I think I also used one of the washers from the old FJ rear. Depending on the spacers you don't always end up with equal thickness of washers on each side.
George
On my 92' GSXR wheel mod. I used the same off the shelf ACE Hardware 20mm ID washer as George says, I used 2. 1 on each side right up against the inboard side of the swingarm.

You wouldn't believe but I had a heap of these s/steel washers sitting in a btl in the shed. 4mm thickness, 1 each side, and the chain lines up near perfectly. Photos #14 and 15 in my link below show them fitted,
Regards
Ray
I have loads of extra 4mm washers as well, if anybody's interested.
I'm in Sweden, but shipping a couple of washers shouldn't be more than $3.

I will keep looking here so far nothing,I'll hit paydirt somewhere i'm sure...lol

Bet that aluminum sprocket with the nubs (ex teeth) made a hell of a racket every time you gave it some gas.

Thanks for the great information. I'm on a mission to collect all the parts for a gsxr wheel conversion. I will need a 38 teeth sprocket. However, I would like to get a steel, and not aluminum.
I wasn't clear if the link above is for a steel or aluminum. Could you please clarify? If it is aluminum, any suggestions for where I can get a 38 teeth steel sprocket?
Thanks,
Eyal

Mine was a 93 GSXR 750 38 tooth JT Rear sprocket off e bay for 39 bucks. As a note I flipped my sprocket to end up with a near as I can measure a perfect chain alignment with the front sprocket. Motion Pro makes a 15.00 tool that helps in the chain alignment.

The eBay link I posted in a previous thread is for a STEEL 38t sprocket.
Here is the link again.

I went thru Amazon got same one for 22 and all told 45 to my door..
I just ordered my JT Steel 38T sprocket from my local Suzuki shop. Only took them 3 days to get in, relatively inexpensive as well, :drinks:
Just got my 38T sprocket. Just to confirm, I would get a near perfect alignment if I mount the sprocket with the machined indented side on the wheel?
