Great News, Our 85 million dollar lottery ticket has been drawn. Baldy is meeting me at Sweethearts http://www.sweetheartscafe.com.au/ (http://www.sweetheartscafe.com.au/) for Coffee or lunch at midday this Sunday 23rd June to confirm division of the winnings. All are invited to feast our eyes and of course FJ ears.
Sorry for the Short notice ...it was kinda spontaneous cause I hadn`t really planned on winning that much. If you didn`t contribute to the lottery ticket – no worries- come along for the ride!
We can always organise a spare chair or three if ya fire up the FJ sort of "spur of the moment" this Sunday, but I know chef Barista Josh wouldn`t mind an idea on numbers prior, so who`s coming!
gday Doug, I'll definitely be there, at the moment I'm that broke I'm being sponsored by a kid from Africa so the winnings will come in handy, see ya on sunday, lol
Do you guys know something I do not know...?
I guess I better check those tickets.

Of the $4.00 winning amount...
One winning pick was one number & power ball matched.
I have reinvested the $4.00 for two more draws for Saturday.

Rain check from me too, again. :sorry: New belly pan returned from the painter this morning :good:, in between surfs, so tomorrow, after a surf, it's time to fit the heat shielding inside the pan and refurbish the set of R1 blue spots I got yesterday, then install, bleed and try them out on an afternoon run. Probably after another surf. Have fun you lot.
I reckon we will have to come down your way Leon soon and do a run to Springbrook or somewhere similar, :good2:

Bloody bucket of bolts, eh?
Just to recap.....
Prev quote by Klavdy....
Hmmm, I really liked most of the FJ's I've had but yes, time moves on.
You ever ridden one without a helmet?
Sound like a galvanised bucket full of broken glass and rusty bolts.
Now I have three bikes, in Australia a Triumph Tiger 1050 that I can work on easily,a Kawasaki GTR 1400 (Concours in the U.S) that is a bit more involved because of the fairings but an OBD-II interface and software that connects to a laptop, tablet or smartphone makes balancing throttle bodies a simple affair, far less hassle than the old style carb balancing with tubes, ATF or mercury,it also gives you all the fault codes etc and other useful stuff like changing the air fuel ratios etc and an Aprilia Tuono in the U.S that is also really easy to work on.
None of them has ever let me down, and if they did I can connect to them via a usb cable and see what's wrong instead of guessing.
Remember my answer Klavdy? Heeehehehe
We`ve seen it before...You`ll be left with only an artificial legacy, while tales of chance historical encounters and conquered mountains will diminish as the younger expensive pup sucks all your Soul, to the point of senseless crasse murmerings... Then one day too soon, your pail will seem EMPTY... and it is YOU that will yearn for the Galvanised bucket with it`s heart beating to soul and cymbal. (Told ya so, told ya so)... Pics to follow.....
There`s quite a few that beared witness to FJ Vindication today at Sweethearts, as we tried to push Klavdy`s heavy modern masterpiece down the road to get it going....Apparently a laptop can solve anything...unless of course it has a flat battery!
Sorry to repeat something here....None of them has ever let me down, and if they did I can connect to them via a usb cable and see what's wrong instead of guessing.
Apologies mate...didn`t mean ta laugh at ya! (much)
A great finish to a fantastic FJ luncheon...(It got quite cold riding home with wetted pants!)
Having trouble seeing which pics to post....my eyes keep watering, and my fist keeps hitting the ground...and and and I keep trying to laugh...but the voice box can`t take anymore...
Yep,bloody flat batteries, that'll teach me to remember to turn off the electronic accessories when parked up for a couple hours.
Just a thanks to the General (Doug) for the invite to Sweethearts today. It's good to put a face to a name and was pleased to meet Doug, Klavdy, Stu, Ken, Ray, And Darran.
Chris and I had a good day out,( pity we didn't stay a bit longer to see the mishap with Klavdy). it gave the bike a good run, and got home with the fuel gauge still above empty after 275 kms.
The FJ obviously had a good day also.
Tony.
Funny you should mention the fuel side of things Tony. I'm pretty sure my tripmeter said 275kms when I rolled into the shed and I've still got stacks of fuel left. Maybe my recent carb sync is helping?
Another good day out. I would post my video of Klavdy trying to bump start the Triumph but I think he has suffered enough ribbing. I wasnt aware that late model trumpys still ran Joe Lucas electrics. It was just like the old days. I think I even saw a faint trace of oil where he parked it.
Thanks Doug for the invite

Sounds like your speed limiter is stuck on a pretty low setting, Ray. Way too many miles to the gallon for a Sunday ride. Regards, Pete.
Well I was being a good boy because I had my support crew in the car following me today, (they loved it!).
Although coming along the Gateway Motorway on the way home I did open it up to 160 because some feckin twat in a car was jammed right up behind me while I was doing 100 (in the left lane mind you). Gave him the finger and left him behind, lol, and he tried to keep up, hee hee hee.

No one that drives or rides anything with Lucas electrics should travel without some basic spares.

In fairness, it did start okay.....Once a girl gave him some help with equipment and we took the seat off an FJ to get him some power.
have to admit it was all pretty funny stuff, and a good day to boot, just out of interest did anybody else hit the big pot hole the other side of aussie zoo? it rattled my fillings.

The potholes on that road were on the news the other night
There was 5 cars on the side of the road with blown front and rear tires
Your lucky, the one I saw, you could have parked your bike in.

Actually...Ya got me thinking about FJ socials...it`s really not the numbers that count...Some of the best gatherings are only two or more. (Three`s a crowd and "positively" great. imho)...
This particular gathering started with a PM to Baldy for a catchup...it only takes one to initiate and two for an fj party. (an fj mobile number and/or PM`s prior to posting events is the key)... I think we were all delighted that within two days it grew into 15.5 at the table!... Also think it`s a tribute to the general etiquette of this global forum that sees young family members (and their mums) eager to dine with us.

Baldy got called in from hols (at Sunday rates :good2: ), ta help him out with his recently diminished bank account...Luckily we got his girl`s power leads to get Klavdy home.

Well said General!
Yes, yes, yes, but what about the burning question everyone wants answered. What happened to Klavdy's head????
My melon?
We went to see an Aussie expat mate in Santa Monica, he's got a high end hair dressers salon, raving queer of course but lot's of fun to hang out with.
Mrs K was getting her hair done and it was decided by all that I needed to get my California Nazi on.
It gets better.
Our mate wanted some Aussie treats, you know, Twisties, Freddo Frogs, Snakes, Tim Tams etc so we brought him a great big bag of them.
I'd dragged that bag all over the place before it got to him,to the Rally and all sorts of other place, he was stoked to get it and the next day had an "Aussie Day"
A table with these treats was laid out for all to enjoy.
Twisties, lollies, Tim Tams and Anzac biscuits etc.
Hang on, I didn't put Anzac bikkies in that bag,WTF?
Remember, California has legalised marijuana and it's all over the place, including dispensaries that sell lethal doses of edible weed laced stuff.
Somehow a bag of pot cookies got in the bag of treats and some of his staff and customers got so fucking whacked they had to get sent home in taxi's, scandal ensued and he's rang us up straight away to ask if we knew anything about it.
I absolutely did not know they were there nor would I ever do such a thing but I couldn't help bursting out laughing.
My Bad.
