Rain check from me too, again.   :sorry:   New belly pan returned from the painter this morning :good:, in between surfs, so tomorrow, after a surf, it's time to fit the heat shielding inside the pan and  refurbish the set of R1 blue spots I got yesterday, then install, bleed and try them out on an afternoon run.  Probably after another surf.  Have fun you lot.

Surf's up,winds offshore, nice banks on a run out tide, water was nice and warm (21 Deg) at the Alley today.
It was warmer in the water than out.

:good2: No Prob. That makes 15. Table for 15 is booked and easily expandable for those that can`t stand the temptation of this riding weather at the last moment. (when they`re suppose to be doing other stuff  ).   :dance2:

Bloody bucket of bolts, eh?
Just to recap.....
Prev quote by Klavdy....
Hmmm, I really liked most of the FJ's I've had but yes, time moves on.
You ever ridden one without a helmet?
Sound like a galvanised bucket full of broken glass and rusty bolts.
Now I have three bikes, in Australia a Triumph Tiger 1050 that I can work on easily,a Kawasaki GTR 1400 (Concours in the U.S) that is a bit more involved because of the fairings but an OBD-II interface and software that connects to a laptop, tablet or smartphone makes balancing throttle bodies a simple affair, far less hassle than the old style carb balancing with tubes, ATF or mercury,it also gives you all the fault codes etc and other useful stuff like changing the air fuel ratios etc and an Aprilia Tuono in the U.S that is also really easy to work on.
None of them has ever let me down, and if they did I can connect to them via a usb cable and see what's wrong instead of guessing.

Remember my answer Klavdy? Heeehehehe

We`ve seen it before...You`ll be left with only an artificial legacy, while tales of chance historical encounters and conquered mountains will diminish as the younger expensive pup sucks all your Soul, to the point of senseless crasse murmerings... Then one day too soon, your pail will seem EMPTY... and it is YOU that will yearn for the Galvanised bucket with it`s heart beating to soul and cymbal. (Told ya so, told ya so)... Pics to follow.....

There`s quite a few that beared witness to FJ Vindication today at Sweethearts, as we tried to push Klavdy`s heavy modern masterpiece down the road to get it going....Apparently a laptop can solve anything...unless of course it has a flat battery!

Sorry to repeat something here....None of them has ever let me down, and if they did I can connect to them via a usb cable and see what's wrong instead of guessing.
Apologies mate...didn`t mean ta laugh at ya!  (much)

A great finish to a fantastic FJ luncheon...(It got quite cold riding home with wetted pants!)
Having trouble seeing which pics to post....my eyes keep watering, and my fist keeps hitting the ground...and and and I keep trying to laugh...but the voice box can`t take anymore...

Just a thanks to the General (Doug) for the invite to Sweethearts today. It's good to put a face to a name and was pleased to meet Doug, Klavdy, Stu, Ken, Ray, And Darran.

Chris and I had a good day out,( pity we didn't stay a bit longer to see the mishap with Klavdy). it gave the bike a good run, and got home with the fuel gauge still above empty after 275 kms.

The FJ obviously had a good day also.

Funny you should mention the fuel side of things Tony. I'm pretty sure my tripmeter said 275kms when I rolled into the shed and I've still got stacks of fuel left. Maybe my recent carb sync is helping?

Another good day out. I would post my video of Klavdy trying to bump start the Triumph but I think he has suffered enough ribbing. I wasnt aware that late model trumpys still ran Joe Lucas electrics. It was just like the old days. I think I even saw a faint trace of oil where he parked it.
Thanks Doug for the invite

Sounds like your speed limiter is stuck on a pretty low setting, Ray. Way too many miles to the gallon for a Sunday ride.     Regards, Pete.

Well I was being a good boy because I had my support crew in the car following me today, (they loved it!).

Although coming along the Gateway Motorway on the way home I did open it up to 160 because some feckin twat in a car was jammed right up behind me while I was doing 100 (in the left lane mind you). Gave him the finger and left him behind, lol, and he tried to keep up, hee hee hee.
