Merry Christmas to all! In the middle of a good ole' fashion snow storm here on the North Shore of Lake Erie. It seems our American cousins are sharing the joy this year!
Looks like you had a great Christmas Derek!
We spoiled the kids.......The wife and I didn't get much for each other.
We had a white Christmas too......we got a couple inches of snow, and drove up to Cheyenne to have dinner with my wife's best friend. It was 0-degrees F by 5:30pm. it's been a cold week here.
Stay safe and warm!

Fred
BRRRRRRRR!!!! Glad we don't often get that cold here Alan! Christmas was excellent, though I wonder why we always eat so damn much???
Derek
Merry Christmas Derek. You are lucky down there. We have gotten about 2 feet of snow here in the last couple of weeks but it hasn't been that cold yet. This is the first time in about 10 years I get to have more than three days off at Christmas. Just got back from Kelowna last night, had to pick my daughter and grand daughter up at the airport. Hope you have a good new year and hope to see you next year on one of tour trips to the interior. Big R

Being as I am in Queensland where it never snows, I find it hard to fathom how it can snow and NOT be cold! :flag_of_truce:
Hope all my FJ friends out there had a great Christmas..... roll on 2013.
Cheers all

It's all relative, Harvy... there's at least three or four levels of cold, IMO.

Randy's right, but I'm not sure about the number of levels.
I find that cold (and hot for that matter) is mainly an "in your head" attitude.
A beautiful high pressure 20F (-7C) day with cobalt blue sky and a snap to the air can be refreshing and lovely. A grey, slushy, overcast drizzly 32F (0 C) day can be the pits.
For me, its only when the temps get below 0F (-17C) that I can't justify away the fact of COLD. Those who live at high altitude and latitude probably have different definitions again.
Here, in Australia, I find it difficult to venture outside when its more than 35C (95F), just saps all my energy.
Whatever your weather, hope you all had a good Xmas and are looking forward to another year of FJ Kookaloo.
Arnie
Yep its all relitive I am toasty warm when it warms up to -20
Hi Derek
Very nice you will enjoy the better seat on the long hauls, but something more important what did you get for the G/F and here trusty steed?
Merry xmas to you was a very comfy 35ish here sat around in tshirt and shorts, even managed a swim and several very cold alcoholic beverages :yahoo:
Cold is still freeking cold anything under 20 is too cold to ride :blum2:
Baldy,
I think most on this list would agree that below 20 is too cold to ride.
HOWEVER, most would have read that as 20F (-7C) and not the 20C (68F) I suspect you are describing.
New Year is coming. Have a couple more of those frosty beverages :-)
Arnie
Hey baldy. Her steed is too new to need upgradin. She got a fancy new lens for her camera... so she can take lotsa FJ pictures
I can also do without cold weather riding. (heated glove liners, grips and vest sure help though)
Derek
Hi all. Merry xmas to everyone and happy new year. Its 38 here today (MELBOURNE , Australia) and 41 tommorrow. I dont like the heat. Derek I love the seat and watch. Could you tell me how the seat feels compared to the stock one and if it changes the riding position in any way, as I would like to upgrade mine. Also I love the idea of a back rest for my wife or kids. It suits the FJ. Also where I can purchase the seat and watch. Safe riding. Hope its not to cold over there. Regards Jeff.
