Reading random stuff and found someone recommending grinding a small flat on the pushrod, not quite to the seal. The pushrod sits in a pressurized oil passageway, and this increases oil flow to something?
Crazy out there or useful? Too tired to figure out what kind of benefits this would have, or where the oil would end up. Only thing I can think of is that if you started the motor without the slave in place, you could shoot the pushrod much less distance because pressure would leak around the side, which could be beneficial if you were really forgetful and forgot to put the slave on more than once.

Yes but if to make it interesting, you need someoe to bring along a piece of gib board (that's drywall I believe for you Yanks) and a cat. :rofl:

i've played this game before... mine probably went 10ft across the yard! closely followed by all my brand new oil.
at least the motor got flushed!

Its sort of a right of passage..... If you haven't shot the pushrod, you haven't fixed your clutch slave - and its still leaking....... :sarcastic: :sarcastic:

Andy - sounds like the purpose would be to get more oil to the clutch. I needed to get more oil to the clutch on the dragbike -- easiest answer was to remove the o-ring on the clutch pusher. Can't see where it would be needed in any other application though.
