I just wanted to spread the word that Klavdy underwent emergency surgery again last night and is now in a Doctor induced coma for 48 hours. I'm not going to go into specifics, but he is pretty bad off right now. I just wanted to ask that you religious types please keep him in your prayers - and others please keep him in your thoughts.

Bloody Hell!! And I didn't even know what Peritonitis was till I just looked it up.
Haven't caught up with Klav for a few years, but I'm sure once he beats this he'll be walking tall telling everyone, "What? that pussy illness? , it'll take a lot more than that to keep me down."

They have reduced his sedation and he was reacting to the nurses when they spoke to him. He did move his eyebrows at one stage when I spoke to him. His heart rate was back to 95 and his temp still slightly elevated at 37.8, but is gradually coming down. He was still quite sweaty but that is normal for someone fighting infection. The plan is that they will stop 2 of his sedatives at 4am and the third at 7am, so he should be fully awake around midday.

Spoke with Jill this morning....Klavdy is to be bought out of coma today and Jill hopes he will be in a wakeful state early this afternoon.
Depending on his recovery rate, I am hoping those of us attending the Aussie Rally can go visit him in hospital next Sunday.

Update: It was taking a lot longer for him to wake up yesterday after they stopped his heavy sedation than they thought. Mainly because he is a big guy and they had to have him on a higher dose to keep him out. They did wake him up this morning, but he was quite confused, etc. so they put him back to sleep again (on light sedation this time). The doctors are going over everything and deciding whether or not to give him another CT scan. We are keeping our fingers crossed that he doesn't need another surgery - because there was some talk that he might. He still has a fever and a high white cell count and is still fighting infection. I'll know more this evening.
God, I hope he makes it through all this, the world is a better place with him.

Just as I was leaving he said he felt sick – probably the lemonade, poor thing, if he threw up, it would have hurt like hell.
I hope to speak with Jill again some time this evening and will let you know what's happening.
Gotta say all the prayers and good vibe thoughts are working guys........keep up the good work!

Had a chat with Jill again this morning.
Klavdy is feeling much better. There is a chance he will be out of ICU and into a general surgical ward this afternoon.
He is starting to remember what has happened to him. His blood cell counts are returning to normal. Says it hurts like hell to cough, but he has to cough to get any residual crap out of his lungs.
Jill recons he could not wait to show her his scars! (chick dig scars).
HOpe to have more good news in the next 24 hours.
