Anybody send theirs to Corbin lately to have it re-covered?
How was their service? Turnaround time?
What's the going rate these days?

My seat is getting worn, and the cover is starting to crack in places..........it would probably last another season, but I want to get it done soon.

Anybody have any opinions on the different materials they have available?

I don't have a spare factory seat to put on, so the FJ would be out of comission while I sent the seat out..........

I have always been told to re-cover a seat. Corbin charges about half of what a new seat costs

If the foam has no issues and you are happy with how the seat feels. My suggestion would be, find some all-weather material that you like and find a local biker leather shop that sews patches on vests and such. Have them unstitch your cover and use the pieces as templates. Could possibly do this for less then $75.00

Had my corbin re,covered in a gripper, jet ski material, very stretchy, waterproof ,mold resistant , he even stitched the original corbin logo tag back on
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

I'm in the same boat Alan. Heard that Corbin themselves ask plenty to re-cover.
I ended up putting a stock seat back on and find it just as comfy as the corbin. I recently just got back from a 9 day tour of Oregon and NorCal. Biggest mileage in one day was about 450 and no aches or pains.
Actually I seem to remember RPM Randy saying he knows a seat finisher - maybe he'd be one to contact on this thread.
As I said, I find the stock seat perfectly fine, perhaps some kind Fjer has a spare they are willing to donate.
