Carb Sync

Well, thanks to Randy I have had one problem fixed today so on to my next question.

The FJ 1200 I just bought has had the stock carbs replaced with Mikuni RS36 flatside carbs. These carbs have the sync screws inside the carbs under the top cover. Now I have just opened them and discovered that carb number 3 does not have a adjusting nut. All it has is a screw. The remaining 3 carbs have both the nut and screw. Is this normal and the 3rd carb the master carb or has the nut been lost.
