I found the problem last night on my fj.  I previously posted that i was riding and my bike cut off completly.  I had no lights, horn or anything.  Last night I found a corroded wire.  I fixed the wire but still had no power.  Then I traced the short to the ignition switch.  On RPM'S website he has two different of ignition switches.  Will the flat key just hook up without having to change the connector?   Thanks for all yall's help.

I just bought a flat key switch for my '84 from RPM. It was plug and play.
