And another win for Peter this afternoon........looks like you are on the right horse Randy!

Harvy

Yep, he was passed for a short time, but he again prevailed victorious. Saturday's race has a top 10 field invert so he will start 10th. He is confident to get back to the front again through the field, it should be exciting.

Here he is today after victory

G'day everyone, hope all is going well with your travel arrangements.
We are planning a ride to Charlotte Pass on Friday afternoon. Planning to leave the Banjo Patterson at around 3.30pm and return around 5.00pm. The ride up will take around half an hour to the top of Australia. The road is fantastic, with lots of sweeping, fast flowing corners that get a bit tighter towards the top.
Quite a bit of the road was re-surfaced last month just before we did the recon ride and is in great condition. Once at the top we can have a short break to take some photo's and revive for the trip back down. Last month there was still some visible patches of snow, so for all you north and west people that have never seen snow before, here's your chance.
I know a lot of you will have ridden a long way to get to Jindabyne but this road is worth the extra effort and you won't be disappointed. I'm sure there will still be beer left when we get back to the pub.   :drinks:  Regards, Pete.

P.S There is a Kosciuszko National Park fee of $6.00, payable at a toll booth on the way up the mountain but it will be $6.00 well spent.

It's been 5 years to the month since I was last here..

Warm weather feels nice.. coming from cold, cloudy Porkland.

Mike:  I believe the limit I can bring is 1 liter.. the bottles are 750ml.. so just depends on how much I want to tempt fate...  I ended up having to purchase the Vodka at the Gold Coast airport just before hitting immigration.

Long travel day, but nice to finally be here.

Bean,

I would love a bottle of Royal Liqueur Rum, but I would hate for you to be taken to the room at the airport where they wear rubber gloves. :shok:
Of course if you like that kind of thing... I'll take a case!!

Your best chance on "free-to-air" is ch73 from 2PM today.  The blurb claims AussieRacing Cars race 3 will be on.  (as well as the rest of the proceedings and lots of ads)  HTH   Arnie

Check that bottle of Vodka again.  Most of the spirits sold in Aussie DutyFree are 1 Liter.  You probably have a win :-)

RPM is on foreign soil as of Wednesday. Took the day to get over jetlag to head out to the track today. Couldn't help getting roped into working almost as soon as I arrived.

http://s1215.photobucket.com/user/racerrad8/media/IMAG0420_zpsfa805357.jpg.html

This is Peter Carr's car who won today's race and will lead them at the start of the field tomorrow.

Off to Brisbane on Sunday.

If anyone is in the Adelaide area let me know.

Harvy

Well, someone else must have changed all Randy's good settings for race #3 when Peter Carr's #61 turned into a smoker :-(  Two out of three ain't bad
:nea:

I just got in from the track and it is a little after 11pm. Yep, he ran into some mechanical trouble late in the race, but was able to salvage 4th.

The cam bolt stripped out of the #1 exhaust cam cap which resulted in the other bolt breaking allowing oil to blow onto the header.

Tried to remove broke bolt, but finally had to abandon the task as it was stuck in there.

Engine swap also revealed a couple other little things that got fixed as well. Engine swap complete, carbs rebuilt and all ready for tomorrow.

Peter starts on the pole for tomorrow's double points final race and this fresh bullet should easily carry him to the victory as he was also able to remove the intake restrictions that were installed after the first two wins this weekend.

His world experience gives him strong opinions and he says things that no longer offends me, because he says them out of honesty, logic and true conviction.

Klavdy says things that make me THINK.

Looking back thru my life, I notice that very few friends has challenged my thinking the way Klavdy has.

I thought I would pay more attention to Klavdy's next post after this.

Yuck, your farts always smell like cum.

Maybe I'm just a shallow thinker.

Despite Klav's forum persona I can tell you if you have a few friends like Klav then you are a lucky person.  You need friends that tell you like they see it, not as you want to see it.  Klav is welcome here at my place anytime and I hope to run across his path again this spring.
