Does anyone know off the top of their head what the size is?

The nut is 36mm

unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

Naw.. I was shocked that the nut size was way too small... Now I know why the FJ fuel tank is missing the manly clearance that Corbin  made a killing on with the Kookaloo hump.....

While we are at the front sprocket, I gave up trying to remove the cover for fear of cracking it while doing some gentle test prying from the bottom. The amount of movement was barely noticeable after a few minutes of wiggling a pry under there. What's the correct way to get the cover off?

Just to double check, you did take off the clutch slave and shifter, right?
There are a total of 6 bolts that you need to take out. 3 for the clutch slave, and 3 for the cover, and the shifter.
I have my bike here at work if you would like pictures..I can do a step by step if that would help. :)
