Does anyone else have that annoying squishing problem?

On the odd occasion I ride in jeans I have noticed similar discomfort. They are simply not cut for the riding position on a bike and have no give. I mostly ride in synthetic gear. The pants look ill fitting when standing up but are cut to be comfortable in the riding position with zero restriction around my waist and no 'adjustments' required even when riding from dawn til dusk.

+1. I have certain jeans that I do not enjoy wearing on my bike (I have a corbin as well). it does feel like I am sliding forward on it though....ive whacked my balls on the tank a couple times coming off the throttle.no bueno

Part of my problem is I'm 6'5" and 250 so I think the seat is a little small for me. Also my knees are just a tad too tall to fit nice into the cut-outs on the side of the tank.
Being tall was great for my basketball days but when you get older and don't fit in and on stuff it kinda becomes a hassle.
Oh well.

Part of my problem is I'm 6'5" and 250 so I think the seat is a little small for me. Also my knees are just a tad too tall to fit nice into the cut-outs on the side of the tank.

+1on that too. I got you by one inch and 15 lbs haha. I feel the same way, it was nice for b-ball and football (except injuries) but now I just hit my head on a lot of stuff and don't fit in to or on anything. Fml

I had the seat made by Daylong seats in Ca. They strip the seat off and build their version on your seat frame. I sent them an extra Corbin FJ seat I had.  I use a gunfighter and lady when I ride solo and the 'Daylong' when I'm riding with my wife as pillion.  I'm assuming they could do the same on the OEM frame/pan.  Its a comfortable seat.  Good cheek support.  It's well made and my wife loves it.  I welded 'wings' to a Corbin backrest I had to make it larger and had them cover this as well.

They (Daylong) are also making a slightly different style seat now that I think isn't quite as wide.  I think they call it a 'sport seat'.  Anyway if you're interested, I'd give them a call, they're pretty easy to talk to, accommodating, and the service was good.

Unless you are one of the 0.0001% that have retained the svelte proportions of your youth, any pants that look good or stay up unassisted while walking around are not going to be comfortable riding in.

I wear synthetic pants with braces and to hell with how good I look in the shop window. I have them adjusted so when sitting on the bike there is no restriction anywhere, which means without the braces they fall down when I get off.

The comfort level could be likened to riding in your underwear, only warmer and better protected.

Arnie, saw this at Moriac yesterday. There was also a Bonneville in the same condition with him. They had both pulled over to investigate oil leaks! The Bonny only had 60km on it since the restoration and leaking already.

re: Oil leak......
Lots of places for leaks.  The large primary cover is held on with only 1 bolt and uses an O-ring for attempted sealing.  And, unless the case halves are perfectly flat, they'll leak too. Yamabond has helped immensely here for all vertical split crankcases.  At least you never wondered if it had oil... if it leaked, all was well. :-)

I'm not wearing jeans, I'm wearing khaki shorts.  I don't think the pants would matter.  The way the seat is shaped with the front part sticking up like it does, things get smashed up against it all the time and it's uncomfortable.

I have followed this post and feel for those of you well over 6 feet tall. Sometimes being the runt of the family has it's advantages. I am 5'7" tall. The majority of the issues here don't apply to me.

I do know that a person can send their Corbin seat to Corbin and have more foam added or taken away in places to make it fit better. I have also raised my bars 3/4 of an inch and moved my pegs down 3/4 of and inch and forward about an inch. Does not sound like much, but it does make a difference in the riding position.
