I've only seen a handful of FJ "hacks" in person, but they do exist:

Speaking (typing) of sidecars, have you seen THIS one before? :

Holy HORSEPOWER!! (Rotohak – 325hp Twin Turbo Rotary Engine Sidecar) :

wow....some of them look pretty cool.....but I still don't get it......and this is in no way intended to offend anyone.......but how do you ride your FJ with that thing latched on to the side???   :scratch_one-s_head: ..... isn't that sort of like throwing a yoke and plow over Seabisquit?  :shok: ...... I DON'T THINK I COULD DO IT  :mail1:

CanD would kill me if I ever turned her into a trotter........

You Basted. I meant to go back & check her out (..ahem..I do have an interest in plastic infusion for future fj repairs  :pardon:) but she`s disappeared!
Meanwhile, I ended up pouring over the original (Turbo) Rotary hack website off this link http://thekneeslider.com/rotohak-325hp-twin-turbo-rotary-engine-sidecar/... and wrote to Bob (The Manufacturer) cause I couldn`t figure out how he kept it straight when it lifted the front wheel..Particularly as it appeared ta have the usual offset symmetry of a sidecar. .. Some people truly amaze me...here is his reply...

"Interesting that you caught that. You are right. Because the sidecar wheel leads the rear bike wheel by 16 inches, the rig drifts left when the front wheel becomes unloaded. To minimize the tendency I angled both if the rear wheels about 10 degrees to the left which brings the front wheel toward the center as I'm going down the road.  It's not a very elegant solution and it doesn't completely solve the problem but it makes the bike very rideable and stable. On hard acceleration I have to moderate the throttle to keep the front wheel on the ground until about 40 MPH to keep it from drifting to the left. It's still wicked fast.
Early on I tried a viscous coupler on the sidecar axel but that was a disaster.
Any, the bike takes a little getting used to but once you have the hang of it it takes a pretty aggressive two wheel rider to keep up with it in the twisties.
You might be interested in my latest project - a Subaru STI powered all wheel drive Model T autocross car.
I'll post it in my website when I have a chance later this week.
What are you working on?
Cheers.
Bob"
Ummm...What am I working on?...don`t think I`ll tell him I was look`n for Epic Tits...He`s probly got a robot!
