So, the po put a "stage 3" dynojet kit with uni filters but I stumbled upon some articles which basically state the "jet kits" don't do anything but waste has unless you are racing which I definitely don't race. My experience with carburetors is very minimal just cleaning and synching and mostly vtwins and single cylinders. I trust your guys advice more. I do have the stock jets and air box. Right now it doesn't smoke but does smell rich sometimes and for acceleration reference I can get the front wheel off the ground about 3 inches under full throttle in first ( no I do not do this all the time ) thanks!

The PO of my bike also had a DJ (near as I can tell) kit in it. I am still undoing some of that. When I rebuilt the carbs I pretty much went to stock (RPM's kit)
I still have the DJ springs in the carb and I need to locate 4 of the plastic spacers that go on the needles in the slide. For some reason the alignment pins are not there.
I have been looking for what is causing a slight what I refer to as a "very slight unstable miss fire" for a long time. I might have located the problem with the needles latterly moving/vibrating around.
I sent RPM a message and will try to locate some replacements.

That's one of the problems with pre owned bikes. I am owner number 4 as far as I can tell by the title number.

Thanks. That's what I figured. Damn more work!

It's all fixable....  :good2:

That's technique more than anything.  No reason you couldn't take a stocker and flip it over backwards if you knew how to do it :)

Suspension work helps if you want to keep it down.  Or put it up, as far as that goes.
