My name is Remy, been riding street bikes since 1978.  Most miles on a single bike 98,000 in 8 years on a 1982 kz1000ltd.  Longest motorcycle trip, 4 weeks, Vancouver to winnipeg, to Sturgis to Daytona and back to Vancouver on a 1984 Gpz 1100 in 1995.  Worst bike ever owned, 1982 AMF Electra Glide. Put my riding aside in 2000 after i got married. Been slowly getting back into it. Currently have a 1984 kz750ltd twin,[ my wife's]. A 1978 gs1000 in a cycle-one hardtail frame under construction, a 1985 fj1100 with an electrical problem that i think i have finally tracked down to a faulty diode, and another 1985 fj1100 that i bought this spring but haven't been able to ride. I also have a 1977 t140v Triumph and a t140 Silver Jubilee that i am rebuilding for a friend. Hoping to get some riding time next year.
I'll be talking to you guys if i haven't solved my wiring gremlins.

    Remy.

p/s. I forgot, bike i miss the most, 1984 fj1100 with Yosh pipe, dynajet 3 kit.

Hello, Remy, and welcome!

I had an '81 GPz1100 that I sold to a friend when I bought my FJ1200 new in '91 - so I think we have a similar history, but mine really starts in '74 with a Honda CB350. And my wife made me :empathy3: stop commuting on the bike 6 years ago after I got clipped twice on the freeway, 1 year apart, and I'm also just now getting back into riding again.

Remy,

Hello and welcome.     :hi:

Nice intro.  Always love the KZ1000.  I think my favorite is the 80 Z1, I have always wanted one since high school.  But, for my riding style the FJ is a perfect fit.  Maybe someday I will be able to own more than one bike at a time.

Later, Phil :bye2:
