Is there anyone ,that will be attending this years rally, be willing to be my tutor and basically give me a "hands-on" lesson on synchronizing my carbs?

They have been rebuilt by Randy @ RPM last year and has his bench tune on them at this time.
The engine runs great, but I know they should be tuned to the running engine to get the most out of them.

I will gladly pay for the beer, or whatever the currency is at a rally!

I appreciate your consideration.

I would be happy to do this...Leave your mercury stick at home and I will bring my Morgan Carbtune.

It's a 15 minute job. We can do other Rally goers as well... Good idea Leon!

Cheers

Careful what you are willing to do.. one might just get stuck wearing the "Drinks Bitch" shirt..

Pat, I can bring my Carbtune as well if there is enough interest..

Might be a good idea Garth, let's see how many people respond to this topic and go from there.

BTW, off topic, I got your e-mail about being in SoCal after the WCR. Unfortunately Paul and I will still be touring the week after the rally.
We won't be home until the following weekend. We think a extended ride thru the Sierras would be nice, depending on the weather.

Cheers.

You mean something like this?

As much as I may regret saying this, I think I may owe you guys when it comes to that!
But if it is all in the name of good fun, why not?

I would not be coming from half way across the country to "NOT" have fun.

You guys are the greatest!
Thanks for the offer guys!
I look forward to it!

You'll have a good time at the WCR.  Don't forget the shirt.. it needs to be passed onto someone else..

No problem Pat.. Just thought I would toss the idea out there since I will be "somewhat" close to you.

Could possibly bug Marsh.. bit of a drive.. actually I should go and bug Marsh if K-Man and crew are still going to be there..

June and July are booked with business trips all around the U.S. and down to Mexico..  :bad:  At least I get all the air miles credited to my personal account(s) and get to visit my sister and her family over the 4th of July weekend with the company having paid my way there and back.

Can I get in line for a carb sync? I'll provide the shots of Tequila. After the ride of course....and definitely after the carb sync
I really don't expect this but hey if it happens...you guys are awesome. :good2:
Starting to get a little excited about the rally.

I can't believe I am posting this but I have Dan's Morgan Carb tune that he is thinking of making a Club item.... I can also bring it and pass it along as Dan wishes to the next member. I have offered to be the keeper as well and make sure it gets loaned out and put to good use. Dan gets to decide as it is his tool. All thanks to Dan and his tool...

Did I just say that????

You know Leon,
I have a set of gauges, and if you show up at my house on the way out to Cali, we can sync them in my garage before you even head out to the rally.
I got the space, and all the tools, and even a small aux. fuel tank that I use..................I think I could have everyone else beat by a couple days  :drinks:

Ha!  Mark, you have gotten more use out of that tool in a few months, than I did in years.  Seriously I am pleased to see it being put through its paces. If there is a need it can be on loan, via Mark, at the WCR.

In the longer term I thought I would, as Mark alludes to, loan it to fellow deserving listers.  If you want to borrow it, let me know.  I will be looking for upstanding forum citizens, contributors and not a newbie as minimum criteria...  I will post more about this in its own thread, but if you need to borrow a quality sync tool I may have what you're looking for.

I would like to add my name to the list of FJ'ers wanting to sync carbs (and learn how) at the rally.

Thanks!!!!   :good2:
