Looks like the Feds have taken over in Boston so at least the death penalty is still applicable. No death penalty in the State of Mass. Then again, as a terrorist(s) life internment in Gitmo would be my second choice.

If they do find those responsible, there had better be an "accident" before they can be brought to court.  Not worth our tax dollars to try them or toss them in Gitmo..

I've been thinking about this Klav, and as usual (from time to time) you do make me think....
I can't see how praying for someone else would be "massaging my ego".. Yes, praying for self centered things for myself would be egotistic, but not praying for someone else. Could you enlighten me?
Is it just by the act of praying to a power greater than myself, causes the act to be egotistic? I think not.
Praying to myself, thinking that I was God, yea, that would be egotistic, or praying for goodies on my Xmas list, but not when it is for someone else.

As far as "assuaging my guilt" I can't come up with anything there either... Care to help?

I looked at my current Community Blood Bank statement. It seems that I have 1,138 units credited to my account. It sure builds up over the years. I am O pos. the "universal donor" so those blood suckers have my cell # on speed dial.

Pat, you're a good man,this is known and this isn't about you personally, you have a greater intellectual capability than most so you no doubt see that, but the question"What's it going to do?" remains unsaid.
Who benefits?

That's o.k, prayer cant hurt.
Long as its known they are just wishes.
It's when some confuse prayer with actually doing or achieving anything (like giving blood, volunteering time) and want others to see them as somehow helping or worse, that it socially ennobles the person who is proclaiming their sincerity by offering up a prayer.
Its when those people become intolerant of their actions being questioned objectively or want recognition.
Pray all you want, but back it up with action too.
Plenty of folk quietly go about doing just that.

Anyway, it's good to think about all sides to stories and we're into quotes today by the look of things,  sometimes its good to read quotes:
