G'Day all.

I've been lurking a little while after buying ANOTHER FJ and having just found your awesome site. :dance2:

A little history.....Had an 1100 about 15 years ago and absolutely loved the old girl ! Been getting around in a cage and various other bikes for a while after the ex made me sell the FJ... should have gotten rid of her when I could :blum2:

Anyway, thought it was time for a new ride and after toying with the Honda ST1100 for a long time I have decided FJ is the only way to go.

Picked up a great condition '86 1TX 1200 for $1500 Aussie. What a buy !

I'm in love again !!!! :yahoo: :yahoo:

I've already fitted some serious lighting as I work nights and live in the outer suburbs where I see ALOT of kangaroos and other wildlife.

Currently in the middle of a carb clean, will be getting some parts(allen head screw kit, seals, jets) for this job from Randy @ RPM soon. Have to say this has already turned out to be a really satisfying job as I've always been terrified of carbs ! LOL

I'm sure I'll end up doing more but right now I just want the carbs back together so me and my new baby can get a little better acquainted.

You all seem a great bunch of blokes(and ladies) and have already given me a heap of great help and I thank everyone here for this resource of knowledge and for making this what I think may be the best forum on the net.

Red and white all the way baby, but eventually I would like to upgrade to a pearled finish all over. Might have to work on the colours a bit. Touring mods too! A screen, risers, longer gearing etc...

Gidday Benno, welcome to this great site. I'm up north of you in Karratha, hope to get EFFY1 down to Perth next summer, maybe catch up for a chin wag and some liquid refreshments.

Cheers, Dazza
