Damn it David!!! I needed that money to buy a new kidney, now I have to have Randy's shock instead. I wonder if Chimp kidneys are cheaper???

Now that the new shock has arrived.
I was also thinking of FJMonkey talking about delaying his kidney transplant or having a monkey "donor", I have a second suggestion. If you want to prevent scratching your arse at every traffic light, I suggest getting a hamster kidney – just think about it every little kid will try to pick you up and cuddle you, put red ribbons in your hair and think about the weight lose from eating lettuce. The only drawback is that they'll try to get you to ride a Virago 250 in circles
First major bike in my life was a Mach III widow maker.
My Second permanent bike 1978 Z1R (owned since Dec 1977)
My Third permanent bike is the 89 FJ12 - nice and fast
Forth bike 89 FJ12 my totally standard workhorse
81 GPZ1100 hybrid - what a bike, built to sell but I can't part with it

Will be interesting to hear from someone taking this shock over a road with frost heaves in it.

Commuting nearly 40 miles each way to and from work for most of the 20,000 miles, in Michigan, since the RPM rear shock was installed, the shock performed quite nicely absorbing all of the frost heave bumps. They did show that my front suspension needed a little more adjustment though.

Anyone who has ridden/driven around the Detroit metro area knows how bad the frost heaves can be. There are some main roads and freeways with frost heaves bigger than some parking lot speed bumps. And I will also mention the pot holes that can dent your rims and flatten your tires. Three rims and one tire for me. I was pretty good at avoiding them, and still. . . . .
