The bottom one is the OEM Corbin, too short to work with the new seat.  Once again, I wish I had a surface grinder.  Original rod stock is .590 (15mm) I could only find 5/8" in the US, so with a bench grinder, a file, and a couple of hours of effort, I had my part.

New seat from Daylong Seats, sans backrest till I get the rod painted and installed. The seat pan is a Corbin.

DAMN.... That's one UGLY seat!!   Should be pretty comfortable, but it'll be hell trying to move around in the twisties...

Grapple hooks deploy from hidden folds to keep your collective asses planted in the seat regardless of lean angle. It would suck to high side....
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

That's funny, I thought the same thing.  In an effort to keep Momma comfy on extended rides I thought I'd give it a try when riding two up.  First impression just sitting on it in the garage aren't great.  We'll see. If we don't like it, I'll check if it can be modified to fit a Harley.  I'm sure I'd at least be able to sell it then. :-)

Make sure you over price it to imply VALUE and typical HD level of sophistication.
