Orme Brothers, Northridge, CA, toll-free 877-676-3277, http://www.ormebrothers.com has the best price I could find for made-to-fit stainless steel brake lines.

(Thanks to Simi_Ed for the tip!)

Curious to know more about the S/S lines.  Are they coated or just the braided lines?

Also any way of posting the line lengths and angle of the fittings so those of us who would want to order some could just call and give the information?

I'm sure with the correct information we could toss some business their way.  :)

They have plain S/S and plastic coated.  Coatings are either clear or shiny opaque black (looks kind of like black plastic electrical tape).

I understand your dilemma, having the bike laid up for a week or so while you wait for the new brake lines, but because the rotational relationship between the angled ends is important (you wouldn't want to have to twist 'em to get 'em to line up) it really is best if they have your old lines to match. The $5 or so postage to send them your old lines will be money well spent.

I might add that I had to ask for the dozen crush washers... but then they didn't charge me extra for them.

Hope this helps,
