Ok been looking and nothings jumping out at me. Did some searches already. Does someone know where i could order a rack for an 89 fj to hold a locking top rack? I dont mind spending coin to do it but just not finding many options. But i am new to street after 20 yrs of riding dirt. Maybe my searches are wrong wording.

I found this on Ebay US. You may be able to mount a top case that has a universal mounting plate

This one is on Ebay UK. This one looks like the better of the two.

This one is the best to get. GIVI is the gold standard. This is a universal rack that requires a model specific mounting kit. The FJ1200 mounting kit Part number Y204 is difficult to find

This link is to Hepco & Becker. I have the complete rack with panniers installed on my 89. These you can purchase brand new from the company. Following is the 2 links with photos. 1st one is the rear rack only, 2nd is the rear rack and pannier frame. These are for 88-90 1200's. They should work just fine for 1100's

I hope this helps.

This is a GIVI/KAPPA rack that I have. I don't think you will find a new one in the U.S., but I am told they are still available in the  UK http://www.wemoto.com/parts/picture/wk-gi-297f-m3/. I think it is a GIVI 297f when you do a search. Kappa k297 is the same rack.

Will the Renntec Rack (that Randy can get) fit my '85 1100? I've been wanting a rack for this thing since I bought it.
