Hello all,

After dropping off the motor to my mechanic friend to be ripped apart, burnt valve or rings replaced, I decided to rip apart the rear shock linkages for a re-grease and tidy up.  Well..... needless to say I need all new bushes, o' rings, in fact it looks like a total refurbish of the linkage arms.

I phoned the local Yamaha dealer today for a price check, as you can imagine I would have to sell an organ.

Who of you out there know where I can get these bits for a decent price?

I would appreciate ANY help.

cheers, Gareth

Already tried.

I sent RPM a message to see if he could recommend a supplier or head me in the right direction.

I have replaced the needle bearings in my 86' (same as 84/85) last year. The larger of the two 18x25x20mm are a rare size but can be found. I ordered mine from Kaman, took a week and was the same price for a pack of 5 then it was for 2. I sent 2 off to chocker so I still have one floating around.

Probably cheaper to do the F4i shock swap...

I have not seen any needle bearings yet, can I use later year parts to replace the bushes with?  Is kaman an online store?

Otherwise, from the condition of my parts, I basically need all the parts listed in the two photos.

I have found some secondhand linkages, maybe they have better condition bits, might be worth a risk as they are fairly cheap.

Parts 4 and 5 are the needle/roller bearings I swapped out.

Randy should have access to the OEM parts through Yamaha. And he charges a better price than going to the stealer.

Gents,
living in Brisbane I understand how expensive FJ parts cost if you have to go retail. Anyway what I can not get from RPM (who is awesome for info and parts) I get from www.Partshark...they sell all OEM parts and at a very good price. UPS tracked out of the states..takes about 3 weeks to get here but worth the wait..All the best :good:
People who don't ride....just don't get it

Welcome dayta, its always good to have additional part sources, thanks.

www.partshark.com works better

If you really need the relay arm, I have one, NOS.

Though it might take a few days to find it, as I have just moved and have a three-bay garage stacked full of stuff.  It'd be enough to make David R. scream!    :shout:
