It quit raining and we (Jack, NancyG, Jeff & I) had a nice run across the Cherohala back and forth. Foggy on the way over, really nice on the way back.
Dean is here!

Dan Arrived her last night from FLA. bikes are ready and we should be heading out into the fun wet stuff in about an hour. So how fast does one have to ride for the rain not to catch him? JIm

CodyNKR

Don't know how fast you have to ride, but I'm sure you'll be able to tell me when you get here. It ain't raining now, but it has been and it's still overcast.
See ya'll soon.

It's 8pm and we're about 2 1/2 hrs from home. Just passed the ag station in FL. FINALLY we have run out of rain. But it has rained on us ever since leaving Tellico this morning.

Back home safe at 7pm, very good time considering the absolutely horrid riding conditions most of the way...  my wingman Bill could attest, except that he was sipping coffee and chatting on the phone much of the time.       :unknown:

Yeah, that's right... he was in his truck.

Randy-

Seems like rain is a regular part of the ECFR, but, fun can and always does seem to happen there.  Feel free to regale us with stories etc.   I always look forward to the posts immediately following a rally.

Hope everyone stayed upright.

Dan
Live hardy, or go home.

CodyNKR

We got home about 11 last night. Made more stops on the way home than on the way up. Was in search of frozen/iced coffee. None to be found! Had rain from Tellico to just into FL. Today the sun is out and it's hotter than blue blazes.

Stories....all I know is that Jack has taught Jeff (rides an interceptor) a new trick, so now he'll be hanging his skinny butt off the seat when he goes around a corner.

Glad everyone made it home safe!!

All I have to go on is the 24 pics posted so far here:

Don't try to keep up with Hoffman if you have a bald front tire?

(my very first rally...following Hoffman...in the pouring rain...nearly bald front tire...no, I rever went down...but I did hydroplane A LOT!)
