CanDman

Sadly I will not be attending this years rally.....due pesonal matters regarding my family, making the trip this year will not be possible. I hope to be able to make it some time down the road when the timing to be there will be right.

Thats a bummer mate, look forward to meeting you next year. :drinks:

On a happier note
30 year rego :yahoo:

In my state that means the rego will go from around $700.00 a year to $50.00 a year for Vintage conditional rego  :good2:

I only ride me FJ100 around 3 times a year having 5 registered bikes,
instead of $250.00 a ride it will be $15.00 a ride :dance2:
And one of the FJ1200's I have is a 12/85, I thought the 1200's didn't start till 1986 :unknown: so it will come on cheap rego a year earlier than expected as
the Roads & traffic only count the year not the month of build

Arnie

Jeff, Flips, Megsy,

Seems like you're trying to argue about calendar year vs model year.
Australia classifies a motor vehicle based on the BUILD month and year
In many other countries the designation is MODEL year.
US cars built in September are usually the next year's model.
My neighbor had a '91 model year FJ1200b (pink stripe, rubber mounted engine, Blue & White color, steel swingarm) that was classed as a '90 on his title.  The serial no. was ......0001
