Okey, will upload the pictures as promised in my last post. Allthough this thread might be a similar to the thread i started in the Modification section. But I have confidence the the moderator would move them to were they belong anyway

Here's a picture of my new front tyre.



I also got my self to new rims. One FJ and one FZ1.. I always like to keep a spare one just in case..






EBC brake pads to go with my Blue Dot Calipers...



Nothing has really been mounted on the bike yet, as i am waiting for the rims the get sandblasted and powdercoated..
As i have replaced the brake lines with a new ones from Speigler, I am also considering to do the clutch line and rear line as well..
But I would like to get my hands on a FJR Clutch master before I do. Might as well do it proply

Mounted my new front wheel today. Freezing cold though! Unheated garage and its -20 C outside... Can't feel my toes or fingers but it's worth it

The mod relativly simple, as I'm sure you are aware of
Riding season up her starts hopefully late April sometime... But we have had snow even i may so you never know

Unfortunately no. I am In the U.S., Pacific North West, Idaho. Not as cold here as you but not riding weather either unless you really have to get out in it. A few weeks ago it was snow , black ice and inversions. Today it is right at freezing but the sun is out a little and the roads are 95% dry. 
I to have been using the winter to work on the bike. Doing a GSXR rear wheel change. Now waiting on a seal to arrive. I located a front wheel and will try to get started on that in the next few weeks.
For most the riding around here starts in April and go's until Oct.. You can ride most of the winter IF roads are clear and you don't mind getting real cold in a very short distance. That takes all the fun out of it. I did that all one winter out of necessity and it wasn't fun especially on black ice or pack snow. It did teach me how how to have a light touch and to read the road.
Keep up the good work ! I like your wheel and tire combo...

That's the good thing about the winter time we got. Our girls gets a good and real treatment 
The GSXR rear mod do look awesome! Considering it my self but I can't seem to make up my mind to which rear mod I should do. It's either the GSXR or the FZR 17" or 18"...
They all looks kick ass and the work is roughly the same... Will see.. It probably ends up with the one that have all the parts available when I'm ready to do it.

I know all about getting cold when riding, so i know how you feel.. Brr.. Specially the light touch you referring too! One wrong move and the tarmac is your best friend.

So, it's been a while since i posted any on this thread.
I finally got my bike to a good mechanic, and he took out the engine today.
He was stunned on how good the engine was compared to its age and mileage. Guess frequent oil change is good after all, ehh?

So went over to pick up some bits and pieces to be painted and took some photos. The mechanic would be finished with splitting the case etc tomorrow and would at that time have a good overview of what parts needs to be replaced and what needs to be done.

He has his vendors for parts, but he was very cooperative in to ordering the parts from Randy's. He build race engines for a living so when dealing with a old lady like this, it's best to get the right parts
