"Super Hero" member status seems to be only an indication of how many posts you've made.
I don't believe it has anything to do with quality of those posts or how valuable you are to the list.

I just read a post to the old YahooFJ list from Klavdy in which he states he now has a Kaw GTR1400.
That's a pretty big vespa.

Arnie

(popcorn)

He also rides a Triumph and has an Aprillia in the US but as I see it Klavdy has been around for a while and always has a positive msg even if SOME people on here don't see eye to eye with him and I would be happy to count him as a real mate and is always there to help you, so I don't care if he doesn't ride an FJ
Baldy

I'm sure Klavdy is a stand up guy......but I haven't had the pleasure yet........... He invited himself to visit me in Toronto but when I posted my coming to visit the gang in Australia......didn't get much of a welcome wagon. Maybe I was raised with a different set of values but I have always embraced the Golden rule......but I guess if you only play by your own definition of social etiquette the sky's the limit. I remember recently extending my sympathies to a member who had been involved in a terrible accident with his bike and never heard a single word back. Now if was me....I would have made sure to thank the person for their kind gesture. I guess maybe some believe that respect comes when you elevate yourself with the turn of your own key. As for me... I give it when it is deserved !!!!!

ps.......if he's a real mate.......why doesn't he show a little solidarity ??? just asking

For those who may be having difficulty in translating my words below into 'Strayin', (Baldy) I did not make, intend, nor imply any criticism of Klavdy.
My point was, and is, that "Super Hero Member" status (which I also have been tagged with) only seems to require x number of posts to this list.  It is obviously not an indication of value.
And, Klavdy is a big boy fully capable of defending his 'honour' should he feel slighted or attacked.  I'm sure that he's comforted by your ready (although totally unnecessary) defense.  Chill, man.

Klavdy

Invited my self, did I?
Hmm, you sure about that?
And you are definitely coming to Australia, eh?
Good, that's why I'd asked when& where you are arriving so you could be met at the airport,or had you forgotten?
You in a position to answer that yet?
As for the rally, I cannot commit just yet, if I'm around ,I'll go.
Simple as that.

So, ya syrup sucking Ice Wog, where are you landing and when?
Just you or are you bringing your molls?
It wouldn't do to see you picked up by riff raff on arrival.

........now you see.....your absolutley right....and I do opologize........I had no idea that this was your welcome wagon......and all this time I was thinking that you were poking fun at the other members........ wow....do I feel stupid.......

as for my position to answer.......I am.......if you haven't decided if you are going to be there yet or not...why would I assume that your airport post was an invite to be your guest.......wow.....that would have been classic.........lets picture this.....Kev gets off the airplane....and there is an arab looking man holding a sign saying ..."no riff raff here" I laugh and approach the man....and say..... "you must be Klavdy....." so nice to meet you.....then we head off to .......? well I am not sure.....probably the local watering hole.....we sit down and have a few drinks....we laugh we talk about the flight and the cute flight attendants I met and so on.......after a couple of hours .....you ask me......"so where are you staying?".........and I freeze a bit and say....well I thought I was staying with you......and you say....."well I am not sure if I am going to the rally.....I might be going away or something.....but if I am around, I will probably..most likely... show up......" ......so I just say.....thanks for meeting me at the airport......I suppose I should look for a place to stay..........."

lmao.......listen here you toad licking banana in the tail pipe....why don't you tell me and the rest of the site where you live...and I will to show up at your doorstep and give you a chance to show me some real class.........I promise to bring you a bottle of maple gold for you to wrap you lips around and a bear suit that will make you look like a real man!!!! But if you have lost your Bermuda shorts and collection of Fadoras.....I can bring extra.....one thing I can guarentee you Klavdiya is that I will take you all the way...if you can handle that.....talk is cheap but you have always struck me as a straight shooter..with or without that male toy in your hand.....and I will give you every opportunity to prove it......lol.....  rotflmao ...

........ I never did get any response...........

.......ya.....I was planning to come to Australia....because I had heard that Auzies are all pricks.......and being a big prick myself.. I thought I would feel right at home........ :mocking:....

does that just about your questions ? You know what I think it might be???? a language barrier......... still haven't figured out what you meant by molls?  :sorry:

Baldy

Baldy, I've read Arnie's post a couple of times and can't for the life of me see why you felt the need to jump to Klavdy's defence over it.

Klavdy may well be a terrific bloke in the flesh, but for those of us who can only form a view from his posts, there is only so much bile and nastiness that can be written in the name of humour.

He seems to effortlessly live up to his moniker as the most offensive individual and given the things he has said to and about people over the last few years I find it amusing that you should come to his defence because someone MAY have hurt his feelings.

For those of us who will only ever know him through his posts it is understandable that he comes across as a complete prick, or, to give him the benefit of the doubt, he has created a "character" .

Either way, having made that bed, he now has to lie in it and it's a bit rich you defending him when a bit shit comes back his way ( which it didn't)

Just what I needed Doug, some good opinions. I was actually tossing up about the fork brace, and thought seriously about the Vibranators, but wasn't sure actually if they worked or not. I did research the fork springs and the valves, my Progressive springs are around 7 years old now, probably not working as well as new now! Mmmm, might adjust my order a bit. The right angle valve stems will be going on with the new tyre,  :good2:

Re: Vibranators, I have a pair on my FJ 1990, basically what it did is shift the vibration around, previously my scooter had vibration around 110kph to 120, but it was smooth around town, now its slightly rough around 80/90 kph and vvvvery smooth at 120kph and above. I tried to get them for my Z1R but they don't seem to be interested in selling any (I contacted them twice - email and no replies)
First major bike in my life was a Mach III widow maker.
My Second permanent bike 1978 Z1R (owned since Dec 1977)
My Third permanent bike is the 89 FJ12 - nice and fast
Forth bike 89 FJ12 my totally standard workhorse
81 GPZ1100 hybrid - what a bike, built to sell but I can't part with it

:gamer: Just received a call from near Bellingen. Local old rev head races an Aus car (No 10 blue colour) in Sydney 500 this weekend. (Lives in Urunga) Apparently there`s quite a write up on the FJ Rally in this months "Old Bike" magazine. Includes a pic (Red & White - dam it) and details on the legendary model with the bulletproof motor. Asked if he could join us for some refreshments Sat arvo, and would park the "Legends" Aussie equivalent near the FJ petting area at tha Bellingen Valley Lodge if anyone was interested. I`ve told him No - unless he`s shout`n or riding.  :drinks:    (Interesting ay)

Hi Joe,

You might want to hook up with the VIC riders up to Bellingen.
We (3 FJs at the moment) will be overnighting in Cootamundra the night of 6 March on the way north.
Next night at Muswellbrook and then up to Bellingen on the 8th.

Let me know if you do want to join our little parade and I'll send you the maps.

Cheers, (and welcome)
