Yep, seen a few videos of people driving in the outback here with potatoes/meat etc wrapped up in foil, wired to the exhaust manifold on their 4WDs, get to wherever and theres a hot meal. Seems to work I guess.
Yep, works on an FJ - but ya need a beer ta wash out the grit if ya outback.

Hell its a good thing the raffle is not for a hind quarter of a cow, I'd have to ride.................am I allowed to say this............a Harley

First major bike in my life was a Mach III widow maker.
My Second permanent bike 1978 Z1R (owned since Dec 1977)
My Third permanent bike is the 89 FJ12 - nice and fast
Forth bike 89 FJ12 my totally standard workhorse
81 GPZ1100 hybrid - what a bike, built to sell but I can't part with it

Have any of you guys actually done "manifold cooking" on an FJ?

Yes, the inside of my forearm, just below the elbow. I cooked it rare, I wasn't going to hang around and wait for well done.

Once again  a Huge Thank You for the loan on the Men's Shed day the other week.   :hi:

An FJ with a sidecar was sold on Aust ebay only last week so you've just missed out. It sold for around $3300. Looked like a pretty good unit.  Pete.
I`ve already left a message for the new owner of that sidecar, inviting him to Bellingen. (We need him to carry all tha chooks!)
That`s great news that ya coming to the Rally, Horse. Tell Jen I understand (Plan ta build a chair meself one day). No prob re Forks, glad you could make use of them---though this Sunday I may be seedy & smelling of cigars or up the range for brekky at this place (www.secretsonthelake.com.au/)....or both.... Youngest daughter just left my place with her husband .. off ta hospital cause she got some pains in her tummy..(apparently they get like that when they`re 9 months & 2 days pregnant!)  :drinks:

Doug...... one of the Brisbane guys IS going to win that Torque Wrench.....its closer to me to get it!....

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

Peta's mum had a fall this morning, tripped on the oxygen cord, broke the top of her femur where it joins the hip.
She is in hospital awaiting the decision as to whether she is going to have an op or not (considering the Emphysema, COPD and recent heart attack).
At the moment I'm still in, but just have to see how the next few days pan out.

Oh well, got the FJ finished this weekend, oil cooler is in, ceramic coated headers done, (inside and out), ran a clay bar over the paint etc. Still hasn't stopped raining to go for a test ride but just starting the engine to check for oil cooler leaks showed none at the fittings etc, phew!. Now if its raining next Friday I will be extremely peed off, but hopefully the sun will be out, and we'll all have some fun, yeeehaaaaaa.
