I emailed the seller informing him that it doesn't look like an FJ seat, but rather looks like it is for a Suzuki RF600. Thought I was doing him a favor and this is the response I got:

"I owned the Fuckng FJ1200 that that seat came off. You obviously DO NOT know what you are talking about!! It fist an 89 on for your almighty knowledge base. A guy with a 92 bought it and is very happy. Idiot!"

Nice guy, eh?

Its odd, but might fit an FJ, pictures are hard tell.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

What an asshole........It looks nothing like my corbin, but that doesn't mean it won't fit.

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

I don't see how it would fit an FJ ?
First thing i see is that it's a 2-piece seat............Second thing is that I don't see any way for it to latch to the back, unless you fabbed some sort of bracket for it to slide under.

The seller is obviously mistaken, bacause if it fit an FJ, it would fit '84-all the way up!

He did say he sold it to someone with a '92, but he didn't say what bike??
Maybe the guy that bought it realized what it really was, and bought it for his RF600............... And is happy..........

Yep, look close, the myth is busted. No way to fit up to a stock FJ of any year.

Zwartie don't let that jerk get to you. He just took a picture off the net, from who knows where. Glad he sold the FJ. No good deed goes unpunished.

I saw this ad a while ago, too, Ben.  A local friend of mine who drives an 86 (he is not on this forum) asked me about it, as he is shopping for one. I told him to be cautious because the seat does not look like it will fit.....glad I did. Anyone who responds like that would be 'fun' to do business with!!!!

It does look like a 2 piece eh?  Has anyone else emailed him for kicks?
