I am looking to buy a new Carburetor Synchroniser and I am not interested in the mercury/fluid Column types, can anybody recommend a good gauge set they have been using, the other alternative is the http://www.carbtune.com/ and their Carbtune Pro which uses metal rods.
I have kleptomania,
but when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

I've been using a Morgan Carbtune for a few years now, and have no complaints. Used the mecury-filled one in the past, and can't tell much of a difference.

Life isn't about having the best, but about making the best of what you have...

If I was going to buy one today, I would buy the carbtune. Just my 2c worth.

I've used mercury types, I've done the hommade thing, and I now have the Morgan.

It's not cheap, especially for something that doesn't get used much.

But every time I use it, it reminds me why it was worth the cost.

The best Morgan carbtune is the old mercury type. I´ve used hundred of times with my own & mates bikes. It is more accurate than the new one, with "damping bars" inside

Look for a 2nd hand mercury-type one at eBay

will order the new carbtune pro, looks like the best option.

many thanks to all

I bought the Motion Pro carb sync, it is ok but I think the Morgan is a better tool.
