My bike is indeed a happy bike, I put these on yesterday (and fitted the pressure sensors inside the rim).  The first time I have EVER replaced the sames tyres. Along with a long list of technical features, I just love what they do for the handling and I wore the last ones down to the casings.
Other than the hit to the wallet I sort of like the fact the F & R wear out together.

Tyres seem to be enjoying a burst of R & D with some great technology being used and with performance you could only dream of a few years ago.

Dual compound tyres were a great idea that didn't quite live up to the hype and now we are seeing tyres offering the same advantages without the wear pattern problems, near instant warm up, no scrub in, long life and peg scraping wet weather grip.

Based on the current offerings I would like to try the Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Ineract next time but who knows what will hit the market in the next 12 mths.

I've got 4000 miles (6400 km) on a set of those same tires.  They are wearing well.

How many km's did it take you to wear the last set down to the casings???

Very frustrating, they were the only set of tyres I ever forgot to record the mileage when fitted.
But, as my yearly average and riding mix stays pretty consistant, I would say I got many more miles than I expected and many more than the previously fitted PR2's, Roadsmarts etc.
