I'm on the fence Mark.  I have made no effort at reservations etc and I have work complications but I could possibly run north on Friday and south on Sunday....  I am in the San Luis Obispo area..

American Canyon is close to Napa and I believe where we have a room.

I might be able to get you a place to sleep on Friday night, if you are serious. Saturday night is floor or yard space at Andy's.  I have to check with my benefactor on the Friday thing first. Let me know when/if you are gonna  commit. If you are going, then we need pick a route and schedule to meet. I was thinking of just hugging the coast as I have not done that before, but that adds time to a long trip. Worse from your more southern local....

All righty then - just checked the weather forecast and all looks favorable for Oct 6 in and around Napa.
So far I've got this as a list of riders: please feel free to comment,

Randy and Chandra - staying in American Canyon
Frank - floor space - tent in yard (provided)?
Mark O - the futon - I'll call you about this.
Fjmonkey Mark - hotel
Tim Axiom -r  - floor space?
Craig Zari - couch (just big enough to be comfortable I think)

So looks like four persons spread round my place - which is probably a maximum - but we've tents and spare bedding, that might do for the hardy.

I agree with Monkey Mark, probably best to think about the Friday and the Saturday night as bookends.
That was easy.
Oh - routes - I'll start googling.

What are we doing on Saturday night, BBQ or going out to dinner...?

Let's BBQ on Saturday night. I'll get chicken, salad, and a suitable side like pasta, rice or potatoes. So far, looks like about 7 hungry individuals. Any more for any more????

Hey Andy-  it's "stands up" from your driveway I assume?

FJMonkey Mark - I am well north of you... about 3.5 hours from Glendale to Los Osos, CA and then we are at the southern end of HWY 1 Big Sur.  Roughly 6.5 hours from there to Andy's and that might be a long day for you.....  You could blast up the 5 and be there in 5-6 hours I bet....

I am going to try to make it. I might have a hotel deal through winery associations and will see what I can do there... I am not going to ride Napa roads all day Saturday and then try to head home- would be an early Sunday departure for me...

I'm thinking I want to make this one!!

Andy, I may bring a tent and not spend $$ on a hotel for Sat night. Unless you still have room indoors. I might stop in San Jose for my Friday night sleep. Plans are still forming for me.

Tim, pick a meet up spot and I will estimate an ETA.

Monkey and me, and maybe another will ride in Sat morning from San Jose and possibly ride back that night...  I'm going to bring a bag and hope for a floor to nap on if required before departure.  If you have a tent, I can be in that. :music:

No official rally on Sunday...  right?  I'll tour some people around Santa Cruz mountains and Alice's Restaurant on Sunday morning if there's interest.  I need to wrap by noon to head out of town, but the riding up there is worth any time you can invest. :bye2:

My tent is a 2 person backpack tent, plenty of room for 2, 3 gets way too friendly without at least 1 female involved.  :sarcastic:

I'll see what pops up with local hotel discounts but I can also bungee the tent onto my trunk top...  Andy do you have the yard for three or so tents?  Also, where am I landing?  Do you want to PM an address?

Mark and Frank, what time are you guys departing San Jose on Saturday for stands up at 10AM in Napa? :unknown:

Frank, I am looking forward to seeing your bike!

Leave my house at 0800, or 0730 if we want to hit Starbucks.  Tim - please stay at my place as well.  We have an extra room with bed, a couple of couches in different rooms, and lots of floor space.  Sadly the air mattresses are in Truckee.  If you've got a bag, please bring it.

Anyone from points south that would like to crash here Fr night, just let me know.  I'll come up with a dinner plan if anyone can arrive in time for that.  I also have ample parking if anyone wants to drive up and leave their truck here.

Pat - why are you quiet?

This will be fun!

No need to bring tents - we have two and can borrow another if need be. If the weather remains like it is now, then sleeping outside will be a total pleasure.
