Finally received my new windscreen from Twisted Throttle, and found a set of handle bar risers on Ebay.

for a high screen that looks Goood, do you get much noise with it,  how come you chose bar risers , , more upright to take weight off, rider comfort, ??  or your just taller than me  :bye:
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

It doesn't look like the bar clamps are sitting flush with the riser collars. Is it just the picture?

How tall are you? Report back your impressions on the taller windscreen. Cheers.

To answer the questions, I am on the short side. 5'7" tall, I have not noticed an increase in noise with the taller and forward curved windscreen. With the stock windscreen the wind would hit me across my chest and shoulders. Now I believe it is hitting the upper part of my helmet. No buffeting of my head.

The handle bar risers were done because I wanted a more upright sitting position and take some wieght of of my hands. I now sit almost straight upright. If you look closely at the left handle bar photo you can see where the handle bar flares out wider then the actual base.

The windscreen has been on 2 days and the risers for only a day. So far the results are positive.

I have the same risers.... Mine are Genmar. If you flip the risers over, they may sit more flush with the base of the clipons.

The risers suit me great, as I am about 5'8" and they allow me to sit more upright and take some weight off my hands. I have the MRA touring windscreen from Twisted Throttle, and the wind hits me at the top of my helmet. I get less buffetting..... Love it.... And the risers.

The risers look like they are on the wrong side. On another note I found that particular screen to buffet my head a higher speeds and create a deep pressure noise around my helmet. Had to revert back to original. I'm 5 10

The risers are correct. My bars have a small lip that overhangs on the angled side, that is what gives the appearance that the bars are not flush to the risers.

I had a 442 mile ride this past Sunday, on the Cimarron Turnpike and I-35 the speed limit is 75MPH and I held a steady 85MPH for a 2 hour stretch. I did notice that I had no buffetting of my head at all.
