Some brake cleaners and the citrus based degreaser will remove silicone. Hope this helps.  :unknown:

What kind of RTV are using and how do u get it off?  I would never put RTV on aluminum, but I just have a gasket scraper to clean it off with.  One always removes some metal no matter how careful. What is the secret here?  I have a valve cover to do on my car and wnat to put on RTV to insure a seal, but removal?

i have an anlge die grinder with a rubber bristle thing on it i had to buy it when a was working at a garge but if your going to use it once of twice spending over $100 is just nuts

the diesel rtv i was getting from the ford dealer works really good its for the oil pan on the older 7.3l diesel engines.
