Anyone using Givi Monokey 2 system??

I purchased a Givi Monokey2 off Craigslist. Took it off the other bike myself which was helpful but it doesn't seem like I can retain my seat key. Is anyone else using this setup with seat key? Any chance you have any pictures of how it's mounted? This one was mounted to awfully large pieces of aluminum that are bolted to the bike through where the tail section bolts on. Thanks in advance.

I have the Monkey setup on my '87 and have access to the seat lock.

While the racks are universal, the mounting kit is not.  Each bike has a specific kit to mount the rack.  Sorry to say the mounting kit for the FJ is no longer available.. but I seem to remember the UK FJ site sells reproduction mounting kits..

I have a monokey mounted on a 3CV. Here are the pics of my set up. There are mounting instructions in a PDF format somewhere in the files section also. Seek and yea shall find.

Hope this helps. If you need any specific pics, let me know.

I also have this same wingrack on my '90.
I am still able to use the seat key.....Mine is mounted using the Givi mounting kit for the FJ. It uses all steel mounting hardware, and brackets.
Sounds like yours is mounted using something other than the Givi kit, and probably why you cannot access the seat key.

Thanks so much. The one I have is set up nothing like that. it's also alot higher on the bike. Looking online it appears that someone got the universal mounting kit, not FJ specific. I will have to source the proper mounting kit or fabricate one. until then I guess I have luggage but a non locking seat
