 This post is for the new members from Ontario. Have a good look at this thread and see what a great bunch we have here.......lots of riding......and great times together.......I would like to see the BBQ/Ride become a monthly event so keep your eyes peeled and welcome to the mad house......remember....Ontario is ours to Discover....... so lets saddle those FJ's up and do it !!! :drinks:

Since this threat initially was stared around the NESR.......I am curious to find out...if anyone else.....aside from Paul and myself.... is planning to go. If so.......might help move things along if we made a show of hands. There seems to be a discussion surrounding location...but I believe this is a debate for the hosts to resolve.........our participation should at least be made aware none the less. So........who's in?

Hey CanDman and fellow Ontario riders
Won't be able to make the big trip this year, new position at work will have me tied up end of July for year end inventory.
Definitely interested in joining some Ontario rides, keep me posted.

All pokes aside.......... I have sent out PM's to all Ontario members and the response for a weekend get away was overwhelming......don't want to use the "R" word yet........but hypothetically speaking..... if we were to do a long weekend thing together somewhere here in Ontario......where do you think would be a great spot......personally I would love to find a spot near the water where we could do some fishing and swimming and water skiing......you know....after a nice ride..... :mocking:.....I did some poking around today and found a few spots towards Calabogie\Renfrew area....it must be a location with lots of twisties...any and all suggestions are welcome.....we can work on a date next but lets see if we can find a cool spot first ...... Please include links

Come on guys.....suggestions !!!!! if you don't want to post your suggestion(s).....send them to either myself or Tiger's PM box....we have have spent hours looking at everything in the south central of Ontario....but are not sure how everyone would like to do it. Does everyone want to rough it.....(camping/campsite)...or motel it.........Cabins/Chalet's .......or a resort......do people want to canoe...hike...fish...watersports.....jet skis etc......each option carries a different price tag...can cost anywhere from 35 bucks a night up to 150 bucks a night...............looked at camp sites..Inns....motels cottages...resorts...but it's all up to you..the group.......so please....we need your input if we are going to start planning this.....we can work on the dates once we figure out where....almost everyone has said they are in but no one has made any suggestions......except A11anOn.......and he has made 2.......one for Calabbogie

Nice and slow  :shok:... sounds.........very interesting :mail1: ....whats that like?... :mocking: ...but Calabogie sounds like a great spot.....thought I would post this spot 'Sands on Golden Lake'......price is very reasonable..and everyone can book in when they want and stay as long or as little as they like..It's also "Ladies" friendly for the guys who wish to bring a girl... :blum1:...and a spa/massage centre for those who don't.... :good: ..................July and August are booked (weekends), but weekdays are wide open. June and September weekends are wide open. Now each room has space for at least two(maybe 3  :rofl:) but the facilities are excellent and it's an hour to Calabogie and an hour to Algonquin park. The rates are per night for the room......so divide it by the number of people sharing the room. There also chalets that sleep 6 which look very cool and those have a kitchen, docks,decks and a campfire pit (50 bucks ea. per night) I think it's perfect !!!  :good2:......so what do you say? If I can get at least 8 riders to commit, I will ask Marsh to create an Ontario Rally Category. Lastly, please specify which month, which weekend, how many you are(solo or with passenger) and how many nights......this place would be awesome !!!!!
