I'm going to flush and fill my rear brake system with new DOT 5 brake fluid (to replace the 5.1 that I have in there right now).
I cannot find any specs in my manual where it says how much fluid the system takes up; would 8 fl. oz be enough, or should I buy 16 oz or more?

Cheers!

Yes, 8 oz will be more than enough for the rear brake system.
Its probably enough to do the front brake system as well.

Dot 5 is non hygroscopic so it will sit in the container just fine until you need it, go ahead and buy more than you need...
