Brake ? need help

I just got my 89 fj1200 about a month ago and everything seemed fine I thought.
The other day I started to notice the brakes really grabby with the holiday time was limited so I put it on the back burner.Today I ride to work same thing the front brake is really grabby sensitive.When I get home I look thru the site glass and I can see anything so to be sure I take the cap off the resevoir and theres no brake fluid in it or very little.The brakes are still working but im guessing not correctly.
I have never seen a leak at all.
I dont know how long it has been like this
Any Ideas what to do check?
Is it easier to do the brake caliper upgrade now instead of trying to fix old parts?

You don't know how long the brake fluid has been low, nor if it is leaking, only that the fluid level is very low right now.
It might be that your brake pads are VERY worn, and  the "missing" fluid is just sitting in the calipers.  Check how thick the brake pads are. 
If they're reasonable, then;
Brake fluid is cheap.  Go buy a new bottle of your favorite brand of DOT 3 or 4, and refill the master and then bleed the system until you only have the new fluid in there.
Finish it off by filling  the master about 2/3 full.  Now, you can watch to see if it disappears.
You can do the brake caliper, SS brake line, and mastercylinder upgrade at any time.  The saving of a bottle of brake fluid is negligible, as is the time required for bleeding.

I was just panicking that something went wrong and I was really caught off guard.
Ill do the brake fluid tomorrow and see what happens.

Have you looked at the pad lining thickness?  If the fluid is low, the pads are probably worn out.

Yep, you should know, the Blue dots you passed on to me were almost under spec on the inner pad on both sides. Good thing I am not a real tight wad and just switched the pads around for a few more miles. Good timing is what I call that...

Well I guess i might have flew off the handle a little
I filled the resevoir and bled the brakes lotsa air came out.
I still can find no leaks and the hoses are not swelled up.
Brakes work much better now
Im just going to keep an eye on it for now.

Good to hear that your only current problem was low fluid.

If those brake lines are  the originals, its way past time to replace them.
Stainless Steel braided lines are cheaper than OEM, and much better.
Do it now and save yourself some potential grief.
