Putting my speedo cable back on after a good cleaning/lube and forgot how it goes on.  Housing has double cover except for the last part on one end . Single covered end goes to speedometer?
Inside the cable has a metal donut/thingy on one end just before the end. This goes towards???

I am driving bike now thanks to the many helpers here on this great site!  It feels so different from my 76 Kawa 900.

The washer thingy goes to the wheel. I know cuz if Your cable comes off at the wheel you can lose your cable. Almost lost it once.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

+1 monkey ranger , learnt that lesson from a younger age, never did than again, at least it was only a cb 250 n super hawk  hhhhhonda  :bad: , but she served me well  :good2:
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it
